I am not a Mother 

Not because I dont want to be

But because I cannot

I am not a Mother

Not because I don't know how

But because I know why I shouldn't be

I am not a Mother

Not because I lack time

But because I lack money

I am not a Mother

Not because I lack compassion 

But because I feel too much 

I am not a Mother

Not because I can't raise children

but because I am still raising myself

I am not a Mother

Not because I hate children

But because I already love the children I do not have 

I am not a Mother

Not because it feels wrong

But because it wouldn't be right

To bring a child into a world

Where they will have to fight

Every day of their life.
